A ROOF FOR OFFENBACH Date: 12/8/2001 Facilitator: Sabine Sterzl My sister brought the first picture for my project ‘A Roof for Offenbach’ on the Wilhelmsplatz, the city’s biggest square. It showed a flower, consisting of numbered areas to be painted. Right away, people stood in line in order to participate.	SOCIAL SERVICE KARLSTRAßE Date: 19/8/2001 Facilitators: Gerd Martus and Prometheus The social service helps people who have fallen through the social safety net to regain control of their lives. Social worker Gerd Martus asked whether they could use the idea fortheir summer party. Sure thing!	OFFENBACHER WOCHE Date: 26/5/2002 Facilitators: Gabriele Geiss and Angela Scheidt For the Offenbach shops’ promotion weekend, the optometrist Gabriele Petras also wanted a picture painted. Suddenly the idea fell into place. The concept of Offenbach Pictures was born.	WILHELM SCHOOL Date: 8/6/2002 Facilitator: Gabriele Juvan Wilhelm School is an elementary school in the center of the city. It hosts about 300 girls and boys of 31 nationalities. The painting was brought to the annual party, where students stood in a long line in order to contribute.

SELF-HELP PROMOTION DAY/ BOOTH OF SENIORENHILFE Date: 24/8/2002 Facilitator: Gabriele Juvan Seniorenhilfe is a neighborhood organization for mutual self-help. Members shop for those who can’t themselves; they read books and papers, and they help children to do their homework. The picture was painted on Self-Help Promotion Day in Offenbach’s pedestrian mall.	KUNSTANSICHTEN 2002 Date: 13/9/2002 Facilitators: Tina Bourdelais and Matthias Klink Kunstansichten is the annual exhibit of Offenbach artists, and it includes a weekend of open studios. Visitors come from the entire Rhein-Main Region and beyond.	INTERCULTURAL WEEK 2002/ FINAL MEETING Date: 5/11/2002 Facilitator: Gabriele Juvan Intercultural Week wants to promote dialogue between people of different cultures. Main organizers are parishes and representatives of the several religions.	CITY COUNCIL Dates: 5/12 and 16/12/2002 Facilitator: Gabriele Juvan The painting was done on two different nights in Offenbach’s town hall. Before and after municipal budget negotiations, the local politicians found time to participate.

ADULT EDUCATION CENTER (VHS)/GERMAN COURSES Date: 10-13/12/2002 Facilitators: Employees of vhs The German-as-foreign-language section is a meeting point for familiesfrom many nationalities. The students wrote ‘Only together we have a future!’ in all the languages that they knew.	CITY LIBRARY Date: 21/3/2003 Facilitator: Gabriele Juvan The picture in the city library was done right after the outbreak of the war in Iraq. Many youths showed in their painting what they think about war.	HAINBACHTAL WORKSHOPS GEBRAUCHSHUNDE Date: 28/3/2003 Facilitators: Gabriele Juvan and Ms. Schäfer More than 600 healthy and mentally disabled people come together in the Hainbachtal Workshops. The mentally disabled women and men learn to work at the laundry, in the production section or at the nursery.	OLDIE CLUB OFFENBACH PRODUKTIONSSCHULE Date: 24/4/2003 Facilitator: Gabriele Juvan Oldie Club has about 400 members - all of them musicians or fans who like rock and beat. At each club meeting in a local pub in the quarter of Bieber plays another band.

KICKERS-STADIUM Date: 26/4/2003 Facilitator: Gabriele Juvan Red and white are the colors of the Kickers Offenbach soccer club.Theydominate the picture which was painted at the info container of the Kickers’ fan project during one of the games.	DEUTSCHER WETTERDIENST Date: Date: 8/5/2003 Facilitator: Gabriele Juvan Germany’s National Meteorological Service DWD is a state institution located in Offenbach. It has about 2,500 employees. DWD collects and analyzes meteorological data.	VEREIN FÜR SCHUTZ- UND GEBRAUCHSHUNDE (VSGO) Date: 10/6/2003 Facilitator: Gabriele Juvan At the VSGO, dogs are trained how to behave in public. The training is attended by youths and adults with their dogs, who may be either purebred or from the pound.	START-PROJEKT/ PRODUCTION SCHOOL Date: 20/4/2004 Facilitator: Gabriele Juvan Youths who failed to finish secondary school both learn to cook and pass their final exams at the production school run by START Project. The culinary results of their education are delicious!
